Just give it a thought : Mobile Tower Radiation

What Happened ???
Today The Department of Telecommunications (DOT) has critiicised telecom service providers Airtel, Aircel, Reliance Communications, TTML, Vodafone, Idea Cellular,  and Loop Telecom for violation of radiation norms for telecom towers and simultaneously  has ordered immediate compliance with the new norms.

DoT is taking steps to strictly enforce the latest radiation standards in respect of electro magnetic radiations (EMR) for mobile towers that have came into effect from 1 September 2012, it added.

Peoples Perception !!

Private operators provide very good network compared to public telecom operator like BSNL & MTNL.

In reality
Private Telecom Operator flouts rules and laws and generally radiation from Private Telecom operator is more than the permissible limits. They have no concern for the health hazards from the radiation to the common public. And people prefer these operator because of their good network (which is a result of higher electro magnetic radiations (EMR) . On the other hand PSU operator like BSNL & MTNL plays safe and as per the law. They prefer to lose a customer, but never to deviate from the regulations. IN PSU they have proper accountability system so if at any BTS, EMR is exceeded then concerned official is responsible for it. But in case of Private Operators they will pass all the bucks in the name of vendor management.

Now the Big Question ???

1. Will there be strict action against operators who are playing with our health ?

2. Whom should we prefer for our telecom needs ? An operator who is honest and abides by the rule and cares for our health or the operator who only thinks about profit by giving service and flouting all the rules and creating health hazards ?
