MTNL New 3G Packs

MTNL has recently launched or updated its 3G  data packs with unlimited free calls. The packs are Rs. 171, Rs. 197, Rs. 231, Rs. 365, Rs. 421 . These recharge packs are giving competition to Relaince  Jio and other big brands

MTNL 171 Vs Jio 149
MTNL 171 3G pack is giving Free Data Usage  (Home + National roaming)1.5 GB/Day where as Jio data is also 1.5 GB /day
Both the pack have validity of 28 days.
100 SMS per day in both the packs

Verdict- Jio pack is attractive


MTNL 197 Vs Jio 198
Both the packs are offering Free Data Usage  (Home + National roaming) 2GB/Day
100 SMS per day in both the packs
Unlimited free calls in both the pack

But MTNL pack is offering validity of 35 days whereas Jio and other operator are offering validity of 28 days.
So MTNL is offering more value for money.
verdict- MTNL is better and cheaper.

100 SMS per day in  the packs
Unlimited free calls to all network
Validity 42 days

MTNL 365 pack is offering the following benifits

Free Data Usage  (Home + National roaming)  3 GB/Day

Unlimited free calls to all network
Validity 70  days

MTNL 421 pack is offering the following benifits
Free Data Usage  (Home + National roaming) 3 GB/Day
100 SMS per day in  the packs
Unlimited free calls to all network
Validity 84 days.

The benefit of free calling & SMS will be available from home network and from MTNL Delhi/Mumbai n/w; during roaming other than MTNL Delhi, standard roaming charges will be applicable. But 3G data can be accessed across India without any roaming charges. Also all incoming charges are free across India.

Jio has overtaken Vodafone India to become the second largest operator by revenue.

The newest operator in India Reliance Jio has overtaken Vodafone India to become the second largest operator  by revenue in the Indian telecom market. Last quarter it goes past Idea it become the third largest operator by revenue and within three months it has dislodged the number two operator. So the new ranking as per revenue is as under Airtel Jio Vodafone Idea BSNL It is assumed that the merger of Idea and vodafone will be completed soon.
